The newly-banned items include:

Single-use plastic bowls, plates and cups
Single-use plastic straws and stirrers
Plastic cotton buds
Polystyrene foodware and cups
Wash-off skincare products with microbeads
These items join previously banned lightweight plastic shopping bags, which were banned on 1st June 2022. Additional items, such as fruit stickers and other barrier and product bags, are also under review for future bans.
