I’ve had 4 people this week tell me how amazed they are at my ability to always seem so positive. I tell you what though, it’s getting harder to stay that way.
The first 4 months of running my own business have been more epic than I could have ever imagined, but also so ridiculously exhausting. On top of juggling daily life, there are wars and a genocide, we’re destroying our planet, there’s a cost of living crisis, and domestic violence is now a national emergency.
I go out and see people who are unnecessarily impatient with the shop assistant. We honk at the ‘slow’ car. We type horrible things on socials that we’d never say in real life. We’ve disconnected from each other and it’s so disheartening.
Posting business content here seems so insignificant right in this moment. So I’m instead taking a moment to be kind to myself and honour my feelings, and I ask that you may do the same - be kind to yourself, be kind to others, be kind to the planet. We might be surprised by the results.
